Attendees' Choice Awards Directory

SST, AP accepting submissions for Attendees' Choice Awards

For the sixth time, Solid State Technology, in cooperation with Advanced Packaging magazine, is inviting SEMICON West attendees to VOTE on products they see at the trade show, which takes place at San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center from July 15 to 17. There will be two separate competitions: one for the "Wafer Processing" products in Moscone's North, South, and Gateway halls, and one for the "Final Manufacturing" products to be located in Moscone's West hall.

Again, the voice of the industry will be heard. Attendees at SEMICON West will use the Attendees' Choice Awards Directory as a guide to pick the show products. Then they will vote for the product winners in three categories:

  • Best Solution to a Problem
  • Most Innovative Product
  • Best Cost-of-Ownership Product

Ballots will be available in the Attendees' Choice Awards Directory, to be distributed at the show as well as at major hotels in the downtown San Francisco area. Companies with a new product listing in the Attendees' Choice Awards Directory will appear on the ballot, which will also include a space for write-in votes.

Entry rules:
1. Your company must be an exhibitor at SEMICON West 2008.
2. You must submit your product release to us and mention specifically it is for the ACA Directory, in which the listing is free.
3. An exact product that won previously cannot win again.
4. Products must have been released within the last 12 months to be considered.

How to submit your new product information for consideration:

Be on the lookout for the e-mailed editorial call or you can fill out the electronic form below and e-mail it back to us. Separately, e-mail a product photo if available to psinger@pennwell.com. Only electronic photos - .jpg, .tif, .eps, etc. - will be accepted. Photos must be 2 by 2 inches and have a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Your company must be an exhibitor at SEMICON West to participate.

Brief technical description (100-150 words) of the product, saying what it is (generic) and its applications. Technical specifications are encouraged. Don't lapse into competitive claims ("Better than brand X") or superlatives ("Fastest, cleanest, best"); they will be eliminated from the text if not supported by specific data.
